Web was the only member of Team USA to answer his Captain's call for a practice weekend in Florida, October 1 - 2. He is glad he did. The weekend included three rounds of golf at some of the area's best private courses including The Bear's Club (Nicklaus' home course); Ballenisle (Swayze's home club); and Old Marsh (a great Pete Dye design). The weather, accomodation, food and wine was first-rate. The hospitality was tremendous and bodes well for a memorable Quaich in June. |
